MICT hat eine neue Online-Publikation über die Transformation der lybischen Medienlandschaft herausgegeben. Dort kommen vor allem auch junge libysche Journalisten, Blogger und Medienmachenr zu Wort. Ein guter Ein- und Überblick zur Mediensituation in Libyen. Aus der Einleitung von Anja Wollenberg: „Almost all of the new Libyan media makers work for the cause without money. They see themselves as political activists, revolutionary fighters on broadcasting and publishing’s front lines. And this kind of attitude is necessary to Libya’s national evolution – it is, and will continue to be, needed. However, the powerful political ambitions of those involved in making the media are in sharp contrast to the usual, daily function of local media – that is simply, to provide information. This core function has been somewhat sidelined for the time being.
