I am professor for Interdisciplinary Technology Transfer and Digitization in Surgery at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where I direct the Digital Surgery Lab. My research is at the intersection of medicine, technology, and design. In my lab we explore how media technologies reshape surgical practice and clinical workflows. We work across disciplines to drive the digital transformation through the evaluation, development and implementation of digital technologies in surgery and biomedicine.
